Abstract
This article draws inspiration from the quantum field model of consciousness described in [1] and extends its perspective from a psychoanalytic perspective. Specifically, the adopted model of consciousness is based on the extension of the de Broglie-Bohm theory to living beings: the consciousness potential associated with this field is defined as active quantum information (called the pilot wave of life) that organizes and directs the life of an organism through symmetry-breaking processes, as described by Quantum Field Theory [2]. Furthermore, this active information (associable with the curvature of the consciousness field) is shown to be the expression of condensations of Nambu Goldstone bosons arising from the aforementioned symmetry-breaking processes.
In particular, the contribution of this article concerns the idea that the living organism creates and perceives correspondences between “inner images” and the dynamics of the pilot wave of life (an extension of the concept of quantum potential), that is, the active quantum information that organizes and directs its life. In this case, the concept of image must be understood in a broad sense. Images are seen as emotions, sensations, symbols, archetypes… which in turn correspond, from the perspective of quantum physics, to condensations of Nambu Goldstone bosons.
